Hi, I’m Oma to my family, but some folks out there know me as Chef Cathy Ann.

I come from a long line of really great, creative cooks, going back 5 generations. I’ve always been interested in making food taste better, since that is as important as the nutrition because if it doesn’t taste good it won’t get eaten. 

 

Cooking for my family for more than 50 years is only part of my profile.  Being a Personal Chef and creating my own dry food mixes under my Homestead Kitchen label are other accomplishments in my career.  Cooking from tradition, I’ve had to update recipes and dishes to meet today’s young appetites.  There is much tradition along with new modern taste ideas in among these recipes.

 

What you’ll find in this cookbook are my original creations, along with other recipes tweaked to my own standards and taste that I’ve used with my family and clients for years, and great ideas found online and written for quick and easy food prep for the modern busy cook.
